Boat Hull Cleaning — What Florida Boat Owners Ask
Everything you need to know about underwater hull cleaning in Florida's Gulf Coast waters.
How often should I have my boat hull cleaned in Florida?
Florida's warm Gulf waters cause fouling 2–3x faster than cooler northern waters. Most boat owners need underwater hull cleaning every 2–4 weeks to maintain peak performance and protect their bottom paint. Boats that sit in warmer, more sheltered water foul faster and may need service every 2 weeks.
What is included in an underwater hull cleaning?
Every hull cleaning includes removal of barnacles, algae, marine growth, and slime from the hull bottom using scrapers, pads, and brushes. We also visually inspect the running gear, propeller, zinc anodes, shaft, and rudder and report on their condition.
Do you replace zinc anodes during hull cleaning?
Yes. We inspect all zinc anodes (hull, shaft, rudder, trim tab) during every cleaning and can replace them on the spot if they're depleted. Zincs are your boat's primary defense against galvanic corrosion — checking them every visit keeps your underwater metals protected.
What areas of Florida do you serve?
We serve the Suncoast and Coastal West Central Florida region — including Sarasota, Palmetto, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Tarpon Springs, New Port Richey, Hudson, and Hernando Beach. We also cover Tampa and surrounding marinas. If you're not sure whether we reach your marina, give us a call.
Can you clean large boats and yachts?
Yes. We clean recreational vessels from small center consoles up to 300-foot yachts. We do not service commercial vessels. If you have a large yacht, contact us to discuss scheduling and pricing.
Do you offer maintenance contracts for regular cleaning?
Absolutely. Most of our customers are on a recurring maintenance schedule — every 2 weeks or monthly depending on where they keep their boat and how much it's used. A maintenance contract means you never have to remember to call, and you get priority scheduling.
How Hull Cleaning Is Priced in Florida
Boat hull cleaning in Florida is typically priced per linear foot of vessel length. The condition of your hull affects cost — a boat cleaned regularly costs less per visit than one that hasn't been cleaned in months and has heavy barnacle buildup. Zinc replacement, prop service, and underwater repairs are quoted separately.
Per-Foot Pricing
Routine hull cleaning is billed by the foot of vessel length. Straightforward and predictable — you know your cost before we dive.
Hourly Rates
Prop removal, zinc replacement, pile wrapping, and specialty underwater work is quoted per job. We give you an estimate before we start.
Maintenance Plans
Regular customers on 2-week or monthly schedules get priority booking and consistent clean hulls all season long — no need to call each time.
Serving from Sarasota to Hernando
We service the entire Suncoast and Coastal West Central Florida — from Sarasota north to Hernando Beach. If your boat is docked on the Gulf side, we can reach you.

Why Florida Boat Owners Need Underwater Hull Cleaning
Florida's warm Gulf waters create near-ideal conditions for barnacles, algae, and marine growth year-round. Boats here foul 2–3x faster than in cooler northern waters — which is why regular underwater hull cleaning every 2–4 weeks is so important.
Save Fuel
A fouled hull increases drag and can cut fuel efficiency by up to 30%. A clean hull saves you money on every trip.
Learn more →Protect Bottom Paint
Hard barnacle growth damages antifouling paint when it bonds. Regular cleaning extends paint life and prevents costly haul-outs.

We clean your hull underwater right at your dock or slip. No boatyard trip, no downtime, no extra fees.
